Salon Services Refund Policy
Satisfaction Guarantee
We take pride in our work and want you to be completely satisfied with your experience at Core Updatex. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your service, please let us know within 7 days of your appointment, and we will work with you to address your concerns.
Conditions for Service Refunds
We may offer a refund, partial refund, or complimentary corrective service under the following conditions:
- You contact us within 7 days of receiving the service
- The service result significantly differs from what was agreed upon during consultation
- You have not altered the hair service in any way (e.g., home coloring, cutting, or chemical treatments)
- You have followed all aftercare instructions provided by your stylist
Non-Refundable Services
Please note that the following situations are generally not eligible for refunds:
- Changes in preference after the service is completed as agreed upon
- Styling services (blowouts, formal styling, etc.) as these are temporary
- Services where the client has provided unclear or changing instructions
- Damage resulting from failure to follow aftercare instructions
Corrective Services
In many cases, we may offer a complimentary corrective service instead of a refund. This allows us to address your concerns directly and ensure your satisfaction. Corrective services must be scheduled within 14 days of the original appointment and with the same stylist when possible.
Product Returns and Refunds
Retail Product Return Policy
For hair care products purchased at our salon:
- Unopened products in original packaging may be returned within 30 days of purchase with receipt for a full refund
- Products that have been opened or used may be returned within 14 days if they caused an adverse reaction or did not perform as described (proof of purchase required)
- Refunds for products will be issued in the original form of payment
Non-Returnable Products
The following items cannot be returned:
- Personal care items that have been opened or used (except in cases of adverse reactions)
- Products without proof of purchase
- Products returned more than 30 days after purchase
- Products not purchased directly from Core Updatex
- Sale or clearance items marked as final sale
Product Exchanges
If you wish to exchange a product for a different one, we are happy to accommodate this request within 30 days of purchase, provided the original product is unopened and in its original packaging with proof of purchase.
Gift Card and Package Policies
Gift Cards
Gift cards issued by Core Updatex:
- Cannot be redeemed for cash unless required by law
- Cannot be returned or refunded once purchased
- Are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase
- May be transferred to another person
Service Packages
For prepaid service packages or bundles:
- Unused services within a package may be refunded within 30 days of purchase, minus the value of any services already used and less a 10% administration fee
- After 30 days, packages are non-refundable but remain valid for the specified period (typically 6-12 months)
- Packages are non-transferable unless specifically noted at time of purchase
Cancellation and No-Show Policy
Appointment Cancellations
We understand that schedules change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the appointment will receive a full refund of any prepaid services
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee
- No-shows or cancellations within 2 hours of the appointment time may be charged the full service amount
Prepaid Appointments
For appointments that have been prepaid:
- Rescheduling is available at no additional cost with at least 24 hours' notice
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may result in forfeiture of the prepayment or a partial refund at our discretion

How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or report dissatisfaction with a service:

- Provide details of your service or purchase, including date, stylist name, and specific concerns
- For product returns, bring the item(s) to our salon along with your receipt
- For service concerns, we may ask you to come in for a consultation to assess the issue
Refund Processing Time
Once approved, refunds will be processed as follows:
- Credit/debit card refunds typically process within 5-10 business days, depending on your card issuer
- Cash refunds are issued immediately when processed in person
- Gift card or store credit refunds are processed immediately
Special Circumstances
Medical Emergencies
In cases of medical emergencies that prevent you from keeping your appointment, we may waive cancellation fees or offer a full refund with appropriate documentation.
Service Interruptions
If your service is interrupted due to power outages, technical issues, or other circumstances beyond our control, we will reschedule your appointment at no additional cost or provide a refund for services not rendered.
Staff Changes
If your scheduled stylist becomes unavailable and you choose not to proceed with an alternative stylist, you will receive a full refund of any prepaid services.
